Social and Environmental Responsibility

We have the appropriate Waste Carriers Licence issued by the Environment Agency and we have full public liability insurance.

We supply, wherever possible, packaging that can be re-used so as to reduce the environmental impact of plastic sacks and allows your charity to save packaging costs.

Through careful planning we keep the number of vehicle journeys down thereby reducing our carbon footprint and minimising our impact on the environment.

Our vehicle fleet is well maintained and meets all legal and service standards, and we regularly update all vehicle licence requirements, company insurances and driver accreditations.

Our collection staff receives regular training to ensure every collection meets our high health and safety standards.

All our employees pride themselves on being diligent, courteous and polite to shop staff, volunteers and members of the public at all times.

As a responsible organisation we follow the guidelines set out in the ISO 14001 (Environment) and ISO 9001 (Quality) standards.

We are compliant with the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) and Occupation Health and Safety Assessment Scheme OHASA 18001.

We also follow the conventions set out by the Ethical Trade Initiative Base Code.
